Product Description:

Cypriol Essential Oil provides decongestive attributes and is used to treat problematic digestive problems. Cypriol comes from a plant called Indian Papyrus. Cypriol is a brand name given to this oil in India. We use it too so that by sound these oils are not confused with cypress. There is another cyperus oil (C. rotundus) or more commonly named nut-grass or coco-grass. Cypriol is part of a species of 600 plants growing in the tropics and subtropics.

Common Uses:

It is often used in compounding perfumes, in the manufacturing of soaps, medicine and incense sticks. It is also used as an insect repellent.

History

This oil is primarily used in the East. There is little tradition for it in the West. The Egyptians used Cyperus papyrus, a close relative of Cypriol, to make papyrus, Egyptian paper
